Harmony Sound rental company was founded in my garage 20 years ago. With the formidable truth of supporting a 2 years old, house payments, and other growing bills, I set out to make a difference in the audio rental world. I had been trained by my experiences at Cerwin Vega (a speaker production plant), Sound Marketing West (the largest rep firm on the west coast), and American Music and Sound (a distribution Center for Allen & Heath and other music equipment companies). I had been doing sound in local bars and venues all over Los Angeles where they needed support in the way of consoles, speakers, monitors, and other event gear. I was happy to coordinate and supply what they asked for. In the beginning, it was many rentals from companies to fulfill their needs. I strategically began purchasing equipment and living on top ramen. Fast forward to today, we have a 4000 sq foot warehouse and are heavily involved with tour rental and local venue equipment rental. We took an early position with Allen & Heath dLive packages, consoles, DM’s, DX Boxes, and maintain plenty in our inventory. We have had the great fortune of partnering with many engineers, such as Drew Thornton for Billie Eilish, Chris Rubi for Kanye West, and Michael Bangs for George Straight, who have all graced us with their professionalism.
